(HBOT 53) Issues with Transition Again

Jonathan has been very defiant today. He did not want to share with Vanessa from the moment he woke up. Vanessa (3) now imitates everything and wants everything that Jonathan has. But Jonathan does not understand that. So when he has a book (today) and Vanessa wants it, he does not understand very well the definition of "big brother" and simply will not share. It is hard for me to negotiate with both of them. It is draining actually. Sometimes I just let them fight until one gives in. But I need to improve in this area because I cannot allow that Vanessa can get away with everything by crying and Jonathan does not share.

It was very cute to watch them this morning read at each other. But after a bit, when I was getting ready to take a picture, they started fighting because Vanessa wanted the book that Jonathan was reading and he didn't want to give it her.

FIRST 1.75 ATA dive

During the dive, Jonathan cried as we were getting compressed. He was again very talkative and did not concentrate on popping the ears and they got really stuffed for his taste. When we reached 1.75 ATA, he was fine.

I had a good conversation with the other parents today and whenever Jonathan wanted to talk to me, he would scream "mommy, mommy, ...". It got to a point that I did not respond instantaneously, and he said "excuse mommy, I need to talk to you, ..." and then he would always say excuse me. Last week I pulled an ABA behavior modification with that. He always interrupts without noticing when others are talking. I am glad to see that he learned it.

He was very hungry today again and wanted spaghetti again. When we got home, we decided to go out because it is Friday. He and Vanessa actually behaved well and colored almost the entire time. He did not play or ask for his Leapster. I had brought it but he didn't care for them. They again fought because Vanessa wanted a color that he had. Then we got Vanessa that color plus one that he didn't have and it was him now that asked for that color. My goodness they imitate each other.

Then in the car, I told him to share with GPS with Vanessa and he had a meltdown. He is having trouble again transitioning. When we arrived at Target after dinner, he wanted to plug in the GPS and I told him after we returned and he had a meltdown. My dad asked me if that was because he was tired. I told him that unfortunately no. That is autism.

I started him again on MB-12 shots. The last shot was last Wednesday, August 8. I had run out and the refill arrived yesterday.
